The book is the sequel to the Chinese Express―Talk Chinese. It uses Pinyin, Chinese characters and English throughout the book in the same way as its predecessor. New content and exercises have been introduced in this edition to further develop the learners’ conversational skills. Suitable for learners who wish to continue learning Chinese after having completed a beginner's course of the language, the book contains a total of 25 lessons with one summary lesson following every 5 main lessons. Each lesson includes about 21 new words and expressions, and each lesson starts with a short text. The whole book introduces around 520 of the most frequently used Chinese words and expressions, as well as 44 of the most commonly used phrases. The 25 lessons are designed to suit a course of 60-72 contact hours (classroom work) within one academic year.
