About the Author Miaofen Tseng, professor of Chinese in the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures, University of Virginia, U.S., was once the director of Chinese program and summer overseas Chinese program in the department. Professor Tseng has been engaging in AP Chinese education for many years and has gained rich and valuable experiences. She is currently an advisor in U.S. College Board, a member of AP Chinese Task Force, AP Chinese Professional Development Advisory Group, Chinese Proficiency Test Committee and Foreign Language Proficiency Test Committee in American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. She is the main author of AP Chinese Teacher's Guide which is the first Chinese teaching guide covering high school and college in US. Since 2005, she has been invited to chair many AP Chinese related seminars and teacher training programs.
