Characters of Wisdom: Taoist Tales of The Acupunct (Characters of Wisdom: Taoist Tales of The Acupuncture Points)

Over 4000 years ago the great Chinese Emperors knew that life was regulated by energy meridians running through the body. Along each of the energy channels were special points that could be stimulated to bring life into balance and harmony. Each of the points was given a very particular name that told a story about how the energy flowed and how it could be used to bring harmony to our lives. Acupuncturists stimulate these points in various ways to bring energy back into balance.

Each of the acupuncture points has a special Chinese character that tells a story about healing our mind, body and spirit. This book elaborates on the Taoist tales of each of these points and their healing energy. It is an inspiring addition to all traditions of acupuncture.

In this revised and updated third edition, Kaatz expands further on the spiritual dimension of the points and their healing qualities. It also clearly introduces the protocols from the Nei Jing and Su Wen of rebalancing the five elements within and there is additional information on using Acutonic crystal gem tipped tuning forks instead of needles.
