Explorer is a set of three coursebooks for IB Diploma Programme Chinese B: SL & HL. The contents are developed based on the five themes specified in the latest IB Chinese B Syllabus. HSK Vocabulary Levels are used to grade the texts and their vocabulary levels, and grammar items are systematically introduced through a balance of instruction and practice.
The set of books provides all question types of the IB Chinese B Reading, and all text types and formats required by IB B Writing. In addition, instruction on the theory and application of a variety of HL literary devices is included.
Explorer also provides rich learning resources. For Listening, there are audio recordings and exercises of different accents and difficulty levels. For Oral, sample visual texts, guides for oral assessments, and sample analyses are available. The books also include 20 sets of mock exam papers in the IB Chinese B SL & HL format to well prepare the students for the exams.
